Drinking Water
In drinking water the task is two-layered: bringing the water to potable quality, and maintaining microbiological safety at every point of the network. Our systems cover both.

Mains, reservoir and well-fed systems share the same problem: water that is clean at the source picks up microbiological load along the line before it reaches the user. Standing time in reservoirs, dead legs and biofilm create a risk layer invisible at the measurement point.
Disinfection layer
NIMBUS systems apply demand-based hypochlorous acid dosing at reservoir inlets and outlets or on the network pumping line. Free-chlorine measurement on the line continuously corrects the dose; over-chlorination and the associated taste-and-odour complaints and trihalomethane formation are minimised. The penetrating power of hypochlorous acid on biofilm also lowers the network’s long-term microbiological load.
Treatment layer
Where the source water does not meet drinking-water parameters — turbidity, iron-manganese, nitrate, salinity or microbiological load — the STRATUS stages come into play. Ultrafiltration establishes the physical barrier, reverse osmosis separates dissolved contaminants, and UV acts as a final barrier. The stage combination is set from the raw-water analysis; the goal is to stay safely below the regulatory parameters.
Typical installations
Municipal drinking-water reservoirs, drinking-water bottling plants, hotel and residential water tanks, and campuses and production sites fed by well water. Capacity ranges from compact packaged systems to network scale engineered under CIRRUS.
Frequently asked questions
Is hypochlorous acid use in drinking water compliant?
Yes. Active chlorine produced by electrolysis is among the disinfection methods permitted under drinking-water regulations; free-chlorine limits at the network endpoint apply unchanged.
How is THM (trihalomethane) formation reduced?
Because hypochlorous acid dosing is demand-based and precise, over-chlorination is avoided; together with reducing organic load through pre-treatment, THM formation falls markedly compared with hypochlorite dosing.
Can drinking water be produced from well water?
Yes. STRATUS stages (UF/RO/UV) configured to the raw-water analysis bring well and surface water to drinking-water parameters; persistent final disinfection is provided by NIMBUS.
