The biggest enemy of modern irrigation systems is clogging. In drip lines, biofilm, algae and mineral scale block emitters and disrupt the uniform distribution of water across the field. Water quality, meanwhile, directly determines yield.

Protecting the lines

Low-dose hypochlorous acid delivered into the irrigation water with NIMBUS suppresses biofilm and algae growth within the line. Emitter clogging falls, irrigation uniformity is preserved, and the maintenance intervals required for line cleaning are extended.

Conditioning water quality

High salinity, boron or hardness limit yield in many crops. A STRATUS reverse-osmosis and blending arrangement brings irrigation water to a conductivity and ion profile the plant can tolerate. The stage and blend ratio are engineered to the water analysis and the crop’s needs.

Scope

Greenhouse operations, fruit-and-vegetable production areas, seedling and nursery facilities, hydroponic systems. System capacity is selected from the NIMBUS and STRATUS series according to the facility’s irrigation flow, or under CIRRUS for large-scale projects.

How does hypochlorous acid protect drip lines?

Does it harm the plant?

The dose used is the low level needed for line disinfection and is largely dissipated by the time it reaches the root zone; the application is engineered to the crop and irrigation regime.

What is done for saline or boron-rich water?

For high-salinity or boron-containing sources, a STRATUS reverse-osmosis stage brings irrigation water into the range the plant can tolerate; stage selection is made from the water analysis.
